About Me

I have been playing tennis for 45 years and been coaching and giving instuction for 30+ years. I played tennis in high school and on scholarship in junior college for 2 years. I got USPTA certified in 1982 and have been coaching and giving lessons ever since. I graduated from UGA in science education and have taught physics and chemistry in high school for 34 years. I was the tennis coach at South Gwinnett and Grayson High School for 34 years. Now retired I have more time to spend on the tennis court.  For the past 10 years I have given instruction part time with Tennis for Life (TFL) and Tall Socks Tennis (TST) at Herman C. Michael Park in Watkinsville, Georgia.  I currently am working with the Prince Avenue varsity and JV high school tennis teams for the past 7 years. I retired from Tall Socks Tennis in Dec. 2023 and am now giving a FEW private lessons out of my subdivision courts in Bogart.
